Simon Booth has
been shooting natural history images for about seven
years. During that period he has acquired extensive files
of mainly British flora and fauna together with a growing
collection of North American wildlife. Simon has a strong
artistic bias in his pictures searching for an
aesthetically pleasing composition rather than standard
record shots.
His eye-catching
pictures feature in numerous publications including
calendars and magazines. His clients include Bird
Watching, Butterfly Conservation, Wildfowl and Wetlands
Trust, Trail Magazine, Lancashire Evening Post and Royal
Photographic Society Journal. During 1998 he was awarded
the ARPS by the Royal Photographic Society as well as
achieving a Specially Commended commendation in the highly
acclaimed British Gas Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
His future plans
include raising his profile in more publications with the
intention of eventually turning professional.
