Postage & Packing

We charge a nominal £1.50 per order (.75p for single roll E6 process only) to help cover the cost of First Class return postage and packaging within the UK. Heavy and bulky items such as mounted prints will incur an additional charge of £3.50.

All prints up to and including 12" x 10" will normally be packed flat, larger prints will be rolled and supplied in a postal tube. Print sizes up to 24" x 20" can be supplied flat at an additional charge of £3.50 per order. We will, at your request, despatch orders via Special / Recorded Delivery or independent carrier. Charges will be made at cost.

Film Processing

The film type and any special processing instructions must be clearly marked on your order sheet and on the outside of the film container. This is of particular importance when using sheet film or re-loadable 35mm cassettes. When film is cut from bulk stock please make sure that the film is cut to the exact length or shorter as over length film can foul the automatic machinery.

Cropping / Print Finishing

A print mask allowance of 2-3mm on all sides of the image should always be made when ordering machine prints. Certain film formats are incompatible with standard print sizes, ie. 35mm full frame to 10" x 8" requires substantial cropping, please select a compatible print size or allow for this when ordering.

Sizes shown are in inches and may be fractionally over or under the sizes quoted. All prints are trimmed borderless unless directed to the contrary. Please see our cropping guide for more information.

Colour Matching

Please note that due to paper batch variations and the limitations of the dyes used in the photographic process it is impossible to guarantee an exact colour match of guide prints and samples. However, colour balance is a subjective matter and a sample print must be provided if we are to attempt to match a previous order. In the absence of specific instructions our staff will use their own judgement, aiming for a neutral balance.

Copyright

It is a criminal offence under the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 to knowingly infringe copyright and it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all material supplied to the Company for processing, copying or reproduction is free from any third party claim of copyright. Orders are accepted only on the clear understanding that:

1

The customer owns the copyright or that the work is out of copyright.

2

That the customer has the copyright owners written consent. In this case the written consent must accompany the order and work supplied.

3

The customer indemnifies the Company against all costs claims damages and losses of whatsoever nature arising from any action or claim brought by a third party in respect of alleged infringement of copyright.

Liability

It is impossible for us to assess the value of originals and unprocessed film and the charges made for our services do not reflect or incorporate unlimited liability. We strongly advise customers to insure work of special value and advise us accordingly.

All orders for processing and printing are accepted on the basis that their value does not exceed the cost of equivalent new unprocessed material. Liability for loss or damage is limited to replacement of the material itself in accordance with usual laboratory practice.
