We
can accept your page layouts as JPG or PDF files.
It is important, when creating a LifeBook to work within certain constraints,
to ensure you get the best possible results.
Below are a few pointers which will assist you in creating your first
LifeBook.
Please ensure your page is set to the correct size and resolution.
eg.
If you require a 10"x 10" LifeBook, each double spread should
be sized at exactly 20"x 10" @ 254ppi.
Each book is slightly smaller than this size when trimmed. Simple
Page Templates (JPG files) with guidelines can be downloaded via the
links below. |

Download and open within Photoshop, ensure that your guidelines are set
to on (View - Show - Guides)

The
outer border (edge of the page) should be no less than 10mm, approximately
2-3mm is trimmed from each edge during finishing.
With this in mind, if an image is to fill the frame, or is placed
to the edge of the page, ensure that nothing important will be lost.
Avoid placing faces on the centre crease, re-size, move or adjust
your images accordingly.
Try not to place too many images on each page. As a rule try to stick
to a maximum of five images per page (ten images per double spread),
an uncluttered, simpler solution will often produce the best results.

From left to right, guidelines denote inner wrap, rear cover, spine,
front cover, inner wrap.
The outer red area will be trimmed once finished, please ensure
that your artwork fills the whole of the white area (up to the
red).
The layer named "WRAP" is to assist with image placement.
This "grey" area denotes the content that will wrap on
the inside of the cover.
It is important that nothing important is placed here. Text / artwork
for the spine, should be placed within the two middle guidelines.
Once you are happy with the layout, hide or delete the layer names
"WRAP", ensure the layer named "crop marks"
is visible (top layer).
Flatten the image and save as a JPG file (set to highest quality).

This is the photo
which appears on the presentation box and is square in format.
Your image dimensions should ideally be set to 12.2 x 12.2cm @ 254ppi,
but any square formatted image will suffice.
