With
the increasing popularity, power and affordability of modern personal
computer systems, it is now possible for even the casual photographer
to produce images that a short time ago would have been deemed
impossible. More and more photographers are embracing this new
era in imaging by purchasing computer systems for professional
and personal use, but while traditional film-based photography
has evolved to produce images of unsurpassed quality, digital
photography is still in it's infancy and most serious photographers
still prefer the convenience and quality of film.
This is where our professional scanning services come in. Yes,
film and flatbed scanners for your PC or Apple Mac can provide
reasonable results, but if image quality is absolutely paramount,
then we have the latest technology operated by skilled staff,
at competitive prices. We offer a wide range of scanning services
and our state-of-the-art high-end Imacon scanners can operate
at up to 5750ppi optical resolution. Don't just take our word
for it though - try our scanning services, compare our prices
and see for yourself!

We
can accommodate 35mm negatives and transparencies in strips or individual
cut frames; 120 negatives and transparencies in strips or individual
cut frames; 5 x 4 negatives and transparencies, and prints and artwork
up to A3 size.
Due to the way in which negatives and transparencies are held in
place by the scanning equipment, images will be cropped on all edges
by 1-2mm - this is unavoidable. Please bear this in mind when submitting
images for scanning. All film requiring Custom Scanning should be
sent in unmounted.

By
default, we save scans as RGB format TIFF files (Custom Scanning)
or JPEG files (all other services), as this meets the requirements
of the photographic industry and the vast majority of our customers.
We can, if requested, scan transparencies to CMYK format TIFF files
at no extra charge. Regrettably, we cannot provide CMYK format TIFF
files from negatives.
