Pete
Cooper is a freelance wildlife photographer living in Bingham, Nottinghamshire.
In December 2000, he picked up an SLR for the first time, expecting
his photography to become a hobby to complement a lifelong interest
in wildlife. Only a year later he decided to leave a twenty year
career in finance and management to turn professional.
During
the following two years, Pete has expanded his slide library by
travelling to Africa and, most recently, India. In addition he is
a frequent visitor to sanctuaries and wild places in the UK.
As
a member of The Wildlife Art Society, Pete has taken part in both
local and national exhibitions. He has won the Nature Photographers'
Association Merit Award for Best Portfolio two years running and,
in 2003 the Nature Photographers' Association Gold Certificate of
Merit for Best Photograph in Show.
Pete
sells his work at craft fairs across the country and is actively
looking for a picture library to take his work in the coming year.
Further examples of his work can be seen on his website at www.lionscape.co.uk.
