Michael Sayles

Michael is a biologist and semi-professional photographer based in London, specialising in landscape and floral photography.

" Born in Cumbria, I have always had a fondness for the Lake District, and I fell in love with the Scottish Highlands when I first visited the region.

The scenery of the Highlands is unrivalled, and the ever-changing light is
amongst the most dramatic anywhere in the world. I now make regular
photography trips to both the Lake District and the Highlands.
My interest in floral photography stems from my admiration for the
wonderfully delicate designs of nature, and my desire to be
creative with both colour and light. I find flowers fascinating, and I
challenge myself to be able to reproduce their stunning beauty on film.
