Mike
started his interest in Photography when he joined Nottingham and
Notts Society 12 years ago. He has been exhibiting in National and
International Exhibitions for the last 11 years, and has achieved
some success, including several gold medals, especially in the Far
East.
Mike
is particularly interested in photographing birds in flight, mainly
at his local Nature Reserve, in Attenborough. He does a lot of slide
sandwiching, copying the resulting images via his Olympus bellows
and copying unit. He creates backgrounds for his sandwiches using
forest scenes and water reflections. It was once said of one of
his slides that it contained more sandwiches than a picnic!
Mike
recently obtained Master of Photographic Alliance of Great Britain
with a panel of 20 slides, and he is working towards Galaxy 2 distinction
with the Photographic Society of America.
